Tamsulosin (Generic FLOMAX®)

Medication Overview

Tamsulosin is the generic version of FLOMAX® and is used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) in men. These symptoms include difficulty urinating (such as hesitation, dribbling, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying), painful urination, and frequent or urgent need to urinate. 

 

From $4 per dose, Dosages Available 0.4mg, 0.8mg capsules.

 

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Prescription products require an online consultation with a physician who will determine if a prescription is appropriate.

  • Tamsulosin may cause a sudden drop in your blood pressure, which could lead to dizziness or fainting. This risk is higher when you first start taking this drug, after your physician increases your dose, or if you restart treatment after you stop taking it. During these times, avoid situations where you may be injured if you faint.
